Term 1 at MOB Academy is in full swing, and our Year 12 Social & Community Studies students are diving headfirst into the world of law. This term, they’re exploring how law shapes our everyday lives and the profound impact it has on our communities.
From dissecting real-life case studies to engaging with local law enforcement, our students are gaining practical insights into the legal landscape. They’re not just memorising statutes; they’re understanding how laws safeguard their rights and how these laws have evolved over time.
A special shoutout to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) for spending an afternoon with our students. Their firsthand experiences and expertise have added invaluable depth to our discussions and provided real-world context to classroom learning.
As our students navigate through Term 1, they’re not just learning about the law; they’re actively engaging with it. They’re questioning its nuances, reflecting on its broader societal implications, and discovering their roles as responsible citizens.
Term 1 in Year 12 Social & Community Studies isn’t just about textbooks and lectures; it’s about empowering our students to become informed, engaged members of their communities.
