Empowering Our MOB Culture Crew: A Powerful Session with Alwyn (Froggy) Davey

Our incredible MOB Culture crew had the privilege of hearing from Alwyn (Froggy) Davey, an Indigenous AFL player who shared his powerful and inspiring story. Froggy’s journey has been filled with challenges, particularly around racism in sport, and he offered our students firsthand insight into how it can impact mental and emotional well-being.

During the session, Froggy spoke candidly about the struggles he’s faced throughout his career, explaining the mental toughness required to overcome adversity. He also shared invaluable strategies for handling criticism, staying focused under pressure, and maintaining a strong sense of self despite the outside noise. His words were a reminder of the importance of resilience and the power of self-belief in the face of challenges.

At MOB Academy, the aim of MOB Culture is to empower our students by promoting respect, unity, and resilience through real-world experiences and meaningful conversations like this one. We’re committed to building strong, positive mindsets that shape our students into future leaders who embrace diversity and navigate obstacles with integrity.

A big thank you to Froggy for taking the time to speak to our young men today and for being such an inspiring role model. Your story will undoubtedly resonate with our lads, and we’re excited to see them apply these lessons moving forward.
